At New York-Presbyterian Queens, our Endocrinology department provides a comprehensive program of diabetes services for Queens residents. Here, nurses help patients manage symptoms, support patients and educate families, all while co-leading the hospital's multidisciplinary Diabetes Working Group with Dr. Daniel Lorber, the ADA's 2009 Outstanding Physician Clinician. The hospital's greatest strength is in its people, whose expert qualifications will help us achieve the Joint Commission Advanced Disease Specific Certification for Inpatient Diabetes.

Improve diabetes care for inpatients and facilitate patient transition to outpatient care thru patient and professional education. This is a unique and autonomous role, where your responsibilities will cover both administrative and clinical duties. You will act as liaison between the Endocrinology department and other practices hospital-wide, while also working directly with patients and staff.

This is a full time day shift position at New York-Presbyterian Queens.
Preferred Criteria
Previous experience in Diabetes Education; CDE or BC-ADM preferred
Required Criteria
At least five years of nursing experience with two years of diabetes education experience
Master's Degree in Nursing
Current New York State NP license prior to credentialing
New York State Board Certified
BCLS certification
